FAQs
When will my first letter arrive?
If you subscribe on or before the 15th of the month, you’ll receive this month’s letter before the month ends.
If you subscribe on the 16th or after, your first letter will be part of next month’s mailing.
All letters are posted together in one monthly batch to keep the experience intentional and consistent.
What’s inside each month’s envelope?
Each month you’ll receive a small, intentional bundle designed to help you slow down with a single ayah:
* A hand‑painted A5 art print
Featuring the ayah of the month
* A tracing card
So you can trace the ayah yourself, with the translation breakdown and a QR code for deeper study.
* A Tafseer newsletter
A gentle, accessible explanation of the ayah - its meaning, context, and how it can shape your everyday life.
* A small dua or keepsake
Something simple and meaningful to accompany your reflection.
Every envelope is assembled with care, using tactile materials chosen to make the experience feel slow, intentional, and personal.
Each item is crafted to help you pause, reflect, and build a quiet monthly ritual with the Qur’an.
Do I need to be able to read Arabic?
Not entirely. The Tafseer newsletter is written in English, and your monthly tracing card includes transliterations and clear guidance so you can follow the ayah letter-by-letter.
A very basic understanding of Arabic and Arabic letters may be helpful as you progress through the journey.
Is this suitable for reverts?
Yes, absolutely - with the understanding above. This subscription was created with reverts very much in mind.
Each month’s ayah is explained gently and accessibly, without assuming any prior Islamic studies background. The Tafseer newsletter is written in clear English, the tracing card includes transliteration, and every element is designed to help you build a slow, confident relationship with the Qur’an at your own pace.
Whether you’re new to Islam or returning to the Qur’an after a long time, this journey meets you exactly where you are.
Is this suitable for children?
Yes, families can use this as a monthly Qur’anic ritual with their children.
The Tafseer itself is written at a level most suitable for teens and adults, so younger children will need a parent to guide them through the meaning. But the tracing card, transliteration, artwork, and monthly ayah can be enjoyed by children aged 7+, especially those beginning to show interest in Arabic.
For younger learners, this subscription becomes less about “studying Tafseer” and more about planting a seed — giving them a taste of the sweetness of understanding Arabic for the sake of the Qur’an. Even simply tracing the ayah or hearing you explain a few words can ignite a quiet love for the language in their hearts.
It’s a gentle way to help children grow up seeing the Qur’an as something beautiful, approachable, and worth returning to.
What is the difference between Tafseer and translation?
A translation gives you the basic meaning of the ayah.
Tafseer explains the depth behind it — the context, the wisdom, and what Allah is teaching you through those words.
Translation tells you what it says.
Tafseer shows you what it means.
Why learn Tafseer?
Tafseer helps you move from simply reading the Qur’an to truly understanding it.
It shows you the depth behind each ayah — the context, the wisdom, and the guidance Allah is offering you.
It helps you build a more personal relationship with the Qur’an, one ayah at a time, without overwhelm.
Who creates the artwork and Tafseer?
All artwork is hand‑painted by the artist behind ABN Atelier, who also designs the monthly cards and materials.
The Tafseer newsletter is written by a qualified Muftiyya to ensure accuracy, depth, and trustworthiness.
Why snail mail instead of digital?
Because slowing down helps you connect more deeply with the Qur’an.
A physical letter feels different - you hold it, open it, sit with it. It becomes a small monthly ritual rather than another notification on your phone.
Snail mail creates space for reflection, calm, and intention in a way digital content simply can’t.
